The motor vehicle industry has started to change the way people triditionally think of and use personal transportation. General Motors is one brand in particular who has been taking a technological lead with their 2016 lineup.
GM, the parent company of Buick, Cadillac, GMC, and Chevrolet, had a clear focus of integrating connective technology and active safety features into almost all of their models this year to better connect the driver to their vehicle.
The driver can now count on the ease of mind through cutting-edge safety features like a standard rear-vision camera, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Departure Warning, to name a few.
There is also a personal 4G LTE Hotspot is available, through OnStar, that can be purchased or added to an existing wireless data plan. On top of that, OnStar is now offering a mobile app called OnStar Remote Link which allows a driver to lock and unlock their vehicle remotely or even activate the lights to locate it.
Two other monumental features this year are the integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Through these, the driver is able to use a pre-approved selection of apps, for music, text messages, and GPS to name a few, right on the touch-screen radio inside the vehicle.
At The Next Gentleman, we realize that all gentlemen are created equally, but may have different vehicular needs. That being said, we went and pair up different kinds of guys with the ride that best suits them from GM’s all new 2016 lineup.
