Fall in New England plays host to some of the most beautiful, bursting colors found in nature — reds, yellows, and oranges.
While the change of foliage opens up the wardrobe to emulate these wonderful colors, adding something green to your #OOTD will help keep you at the top of your style game without looking like a shedding tree.
I’ve been adding different shades of green to my outfits this season to compliment the surrounding colors of fall. They can be worn either casually or buttoned up, looking equally as on-the-money.
Momma always said your greens were good for you, so here are five different outfits that prove she was right.
Wool Blazer – Jack Wills
If this blazer was a movie, it would be called “Straight Outta The UK.” This deconstructed herringbone blazer gives you the best in looking sharp and being comfortable. Not to mention the fact that it matches with everything.
“Boardwalk” Longwing Derby – Allen Edmonds
If you’ve never tried them before, this brand is a must. Allen Edmonds makes one of the most comfortable shoes I own and are still made in the US right up in Maine. Great for cuffed denim or a well-fitting suit.
Ludlow Suit – J Crew
Just go get one. Just go. Now.
Shawl Collar Ombre Cardigan – Banana Republic
This isn’t your typical cardigan. Treat the shawl collar as you would a blazer’s lapel and wear this with a shirt and tie or with a henley. You’ll look good, feel low-key cozy as hell, and still manage to have a modern edge.
Classic V-Neck Sweater – J Crew Factory
One of the most basic pieces to own in the closet is the V-Neck sweater. This easy-to-wear piece came from J Crew Factory, at Foxwoods Resort Casino, of all places, and gets a lot of love while running around at work.
